  1. Do I need to register as a member before using the online ticketing service?

    No, non-member can also enjoy our service.

  2. How to purchase ticket through mobile ticketing?

    Android user can go to Play Store to download "CGV Cinemas HK".
    iPhone user can go to Apple Store to download "CGV Cinemas HK".

  3. What means of payment does the online ticketing accept?

    We currently accept Visa & Mastercard for online purchasing.

  4. Can I use virtual card to purchase ticket online?

    Virtual card is not accepted for internet ticketing in this website since you are required to present your credit card to collect the ordered tickets. Customer who booked tickets online, MUST show the credit card when pick up tickets at the specific cinema box office or automatic ticketing machine.

  5. Is it safe to provide my personal information during the registration process?

    Please refer to Privacy Policy section.

  6. How many tickets can I purchase online?

    Every transaction can purchase up to 8 tickets. After selecting seats, payment must be completed within 10 minutes, otherwise it will be cancelled.

  7. Do I need to purchase tickets for my kids? Can I purchase child/senior/student tickets online?

    You have to purchase tickets for your kids if they are taller than 1 meter or above the age of 3. We offer child/senior/student discount ticket price for online and mobile ticketing system. Child tickets apply for children aged 11 or below; Senior tickets apply for people aged 60 or above; Student tickets apply for full-time students. Student must present valid full-time student ID card before entering the theatre (excluding Lifelong Learner Card and Student Octopus Card).

  8. Can I purchase "disabled seats" through online and mobile ticketing?

    Yes. "Disabled seat" is for wheelchair user only.

  9. Can I use coupons through online ticketing?

    We do not accept any coupons for online ticketing. Please go to the box office for any purchase with coupons.

  10. How do I obtain my tickets once I have booked?

    Please bring along with your credit card that used in the online transaction, and pick up the ticket(s) via Auto-Ticketing Machine at the cinema you selected.

  11. Can I pick up the ordered tickets for one theatre at any cinema of CGV?

    You should only pick up the tickets at the cinema you chose.

  12. If I don't pick up the ticket, will my credit card account be charged?

    Once the transaction is done successfully, your credit card account will be charged immediately.

  13. What should I do if I booked wrong tickets after the payment process is completed?

    All tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. You cannot have your seats cancelled or bookings changed after the bookings are completed. You should check the transaction details before you confirm your order. CGV are not responsible for any loss of our customers during the transaction process for wrong selection.

  14. If I didn't get a Confirmation page after payment process, what should I do?

  15. I booked but I didn't get a Confirmation page. What should I do?(Applicable for Club Trendy Member/Trendy Red Member only)

    You can go to "Ticket record" then check whether your transaction is successful.

  16. Can I buy tickets for different movies at the same time?

    No, you may only buy tickets for one session at one time. I.e. If you buy tickets for two different movies, you will need to make two credit card transactions.

  17. What should I do with my tickets if a typhoon signal 8 or above or blackrain storm signal is hoisted?

    In general, CGV cinemas will remain open during typhoon signal 8 or above or black rainstorm signal.
    You might go to the respective cinema box office and present your transaction number and credit card used in the order within 7 days after the typhoon or black rainstorm signal to exchange the movie tickets of the same or below the value your purchased. No refund is allowed.

  18. Do I need to show proof of identity after purchasing category III movie tickets through CGV online ticketing system?

    Yes, you are required to show proof of identity to prove that you are over 18 at the entrance of CGV cinemas if you've purchased category III movie tickets through CGV Online ticketing system.

  19. Do I need to bring my own 3D glasses to watch 3D movies at CGV Cinema?

    You can bring your own 3D glasses. We will also provide 3D glasses at the same time. You may also purchase them at the ticket box office.

  20. What should I do if I've forgotten my password?

  21. How can I change my registration information?

    You can go to [Account Information] for changing any of your registered information (except the user ID).
